Sugar was an indie rock band of the early 1990s led by former Hüsker Dü vocalist/guitarist Bob Mould. ex-Mercyland bassist David Barbe and ex-Zulus and Human Sexual Response drummer Malcolm Travis rounded out the trio.
A band freed deuce records within 1992, Copper Blue which was named NME's Album of the Season & Beaster, which was an EP of darker material recorded when you took a Copper Blue sessions. A individual "If I Can't Change Your Mind" was the moderate UK hit. Fallowing an aborted attempt to record another good-length, a b& regrouped and File Under: Easy Listening was recorded quickly in the spring of 1994, and was freed that fall. The B-side collection, Besides followed in 1995; the limited total of copies involved the bonus survive disc titled A Joke is Universally in Usa, Another time. Mould broke a band higher in the future that season because Barbe wished to spend supplementary instance using his growing personal. Travis so took across a drumming slot in the band Kustomized.
Barbe contributed bass to deuce tracks in Mould's 2005 album Body of Song.
